Julia Child Rose

$39.99

'Julia Child' Qualities:

  • Type: double

  • 3-4ft tall x 3-4ft wide

  • Colors: golden yellow

  • Zones 6-10

  • Continual blooming

  • Grower’s Note: 'Julia Child' is a gorgeous golden yellow rose. She was an All-American Rose Selection for 2006.

Planting instructions: Choose a sunny spot. Dig a hole deep enough and wide enough to accommodate the roots without breaking or bending them. Plant your roses about 3-4ft apart. They will grow to fill the space in just a couple years. Set your root in the hole with the crown right at the soil surface. Water your roots in. Cover and tamp down. Fertilizers are not necessary or recommended when you are just starting to plant your roses. They can burn the roots. Instead, work a small amount of finished compost into the soil as you back fill the hole. Roses love deep watering, but once their long roots are established, they are surprisingly drought tolerant. Package contains 1, top grade (grade 1) bare root. We will also supply planting instructions when your roses ship.

Bare root roses are mature plants. They can begin producing blooms on harvestable stems just a few months from planting. you do not need to wait a full year for these plants to settle in before you use them for cut flower applications.

All sales are final. Buyer assumes responsibility for growing flowers from these bulbs. We recommend planting them within a week of receipt. Rose roots ship in the spring.
