'Reine Hortense’ Qualities:

Grower’s Note: ‘Reine Hortense’ produces large extra doubled flowers towards the end of peony season. Impressive flower.
Planting instructions: Choose a sunny spot. Dig a hole about 6 inches deep and wide enough to accommodate the roots without breaking or bending them. Plant your peonies about 3-4ft apart. They will grow to fill the space in just a couple years. Set your root in the hole with the crown right at the soil surface. Peonies do not like to planted deeply. If you are in a very cold climate, you can mulch your roots in the winter. Remove the mulch from the crowns of the plants in the spring to allow proper airflow. Water your roots in.
