Winter Tulip Club
Hello, locals-
Our winter tulips are nearly here! We expect to have our first blooms just before Christmas. These flowers will be offered to our partners at Nori’s Village Market for resale and to you for pick up here at our farm.
2 different sessions of Winter Tulip Club memberships are now available for purchase. These 6-week memberships make great gifts for anyone who says, “please don’t buy me stuff!”
Show them you care with flowers that will bring a smile to their face every week and support the local farming community at the same time. All Tulip Club flowers are delivered on Tuesday afternoons and include our FREE food waste collection service. We’re happy to take away your food scraps for composting when we pick up your flowers. Members will be notified by email in case of postponement due to a bad weather event. Tulip Club purchasers (or gift recipients) will be mailed a beautiful photo card explaining the membership.
The Early Winter Tulip Club will run from January 3 to February 7. It makes a great holiday gift!
The Late Winter Tulip Club runs from February 14 to March 21. This program aligns perfectly with Valentine’s Day.
Our long-lasting tulips are grown right here on our farm in the northern Adirondacks during the coldest, greyest months of the year. How do we do it? We practice the art and science of bulb forcing. Tulips are cold-loving flowers — so they are a logical choice for our climate. We apply sustainable cultivation methods - like hydroponic growing rather than peat-based growing. We grow in an interior space so that we aren’t using a lot of fuel to maintain a warm greenhouse. And, we continuously work to improve our process and lower our waste through experimentation and frequent conversations.
We’re all flower nerds here! And we love to wonder our way to new processes and techniques. We hope that you’ll consider a Tulip Club membership this holiday season. We have quite a few wholesale florist buyers from further away these days, so it brings us joy when some of our flowers get to stay here in our community and brighten our neighbors’ homes.
Best,
