FARM WORKERS

We’re seeking farm workers for the 2022 season from May to October. Ideal hours: 8-2 Monday through Friday. Additional hours/some flexibility possible, but the vast majority of our work with the flowers happens in the mornings as a team. Candidates should enjoy working outside and be able to tolerate the sometimes rainy, hot, cold, buggy, and dirty conditions that are a part of farming. Farming also involves extended periods of time where bending, kneeling and lifting are required. Candidates should be able to lift at least 50lbs. Our work is a fast-paced effort to move a perishable product to our sales outlets. Teamwork is important, and candidates should also expect to help in different areas of the business— like packing and shipping and/or operational improvements/maintenance. Experience with flower farming or crop farming is preferred, but not required. The ideal candidate will have a good command of identifying different kinds of flower varieties or at least the ability to learn about them quickly on the job (we can’t have team members who confuse weeds for crops and vice versa). Candidates will need their own transportation daily to and from Jay, New York.
